About the Role

We are urgently hiring experienced Piping & Mechanical Engineers for the commissioning activities of an LNG plant. Candidates must have hands-on experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning of piping systems, valves, vessels, and associated mechanical equipment in oil & gas projects.

Piping Commissioning Engineer – Key Responsibilities:
Develop piping, valve, and vessel pre-commissioning & commissioning plans specific to LNG plants.

Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for piping re-instatement work.

Perform data entry, site monitoring, and control for reinstatement activities.

Interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and manage flange connections and system boundaries.

Prepare inspection and test plans (ITPs) for piping systems and related components.

Identify and organize materials, tools, and test equipment for pre-commissioning/commissioning work.

Execute physical checks and function testing of piping systems, valves, and vessels.

Coordinate system readiness with clients, construction, and QC teams.

Monitor SHES compliance per company and project standards.

Track and report progress of all commissioning-related activities.

Liaise with vendor specialists for site acceptance testing (SAT) and commissioning support.

Supervise commissioning technicians and ensure safe, efficient execution.

Direct reporting to the Piping Commissioning Lead and Commissioning Manager.

Mechanical Engineer – Key Responsibilities:
Support mechanical commissioning of rotating/static equipment and utility systems.

Conduct alignment checks, system integrity reviews, and function tests.

Verify that mechanical installations meet project specifications and safety requirements.

Participate in punch list clearance, system walkdowns, and final handovers.

Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure integrated commissioning delivery.

Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Certified college degree or equivalent technical qualifications.

Experience:

Minimum 12 years total experience in oil & gas or chemical plant piping systems.

At least 8 years in piping, valve, and vessel commissioning activities.

Proven ability to prepare commissioning documentation and work packages.

Additional Skills:

Strong English writing and communication.

Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.

Familiarity with piping design codes, technical documentation, and Qatari/local laws.

Employment Terms:
Contract Duration: 6 months (extendable)

Work Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar

Working Hours: 10 hours/day, 6 days/week

Start Date: Immediate mobilization
