About the Role
Position: Coating Inspector
Location: Qatar
Contract Duration: 12 months (extendable based on project requirements)
Working Hours: 10 hours/day, 6 days/week
Mobilization: Immediate after interview
Job Overview
We are hiring an experienced Coating Inspector for a major oil & gas project in Qatar. The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring surface preparation and coating activities meet project and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect surface preparation, painting, and coating activities in accordance with project specifications and standards.
Ensure correct application methods, environmental conditions, and curing requirements are followed.
Verify coating materials, batch numbers, and certificates of compliance.
Conduct visual and measurement checks (DFT, adhesion, holiday detection, etc.).
Prepare inspection reports, maintain records, and highlight non-conformities.
Coordinate with contractors, QA/QC team, and client representatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or higher in a relevant engineering/technical field.
Minimum 7+ years of oil & gas experience.
BGAS Grade 2 or equivalent certification is mandatory.
Solid knowledge of international coating standards.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
